These doors are everything, they happen to be my view from my lounge. A lot happens behind these doors and I watch all the action from my sofa. I think l have featured them in so many of my blogs. They have weddings, concerts, networking event and it’s also an official Edinburgh Festival Building. This outfit is cute fun and colourful, all the things l love to put together in a outfit. I also dressed it down just by putting a pair of flats and changed bags. I’m not always in heels these days, those days are gone. I need to look after my feet and can’t handled them anymore the older l get. Well!! Loving blue this season and all shades of blue. I got this skirt from NewLook but online the blue has just sold out, but it’s available in black, pink, peach, white. BTW it’s still available instores though. I have the same colour skirt but slightly longer from Nobody’s Child and it’s amazing too. Check out their site it’s full of fab pieces. I paired the newlook skirt with one of their off-shoulder tops. I’ve been rocking off-shoulder all spring, it’s one of the biggest trends this spring/summer as jumpsuits/playsuits, dresses, shirts. My shoes are old Get similar here and bag is from Shop similar .
Kept the same colour and did a dress down look, paired the dress with a leather jacket and flats. This yellowas dress will be perfect for that beach holiday, summer wedding or even as a Sunday best Love love yellow, it just brightens things up. This dress is a Limited Edition in River Island so it won’t be in Stock for long, it’s worth he price on it. What l love most is the quality of the lace, it’s not a flimsy lace that won’t last. I’m going to have this dress for quiet some time, can’t wait to Rock it to a wedding later this year and on my holidays. Deja vu for real, that’s what happened when l bumped into this dress in W.Armstrong & Son Vintage Store only it was a different colour again. I swear I’m being hunted by this dress, or l am meant to own one for life since l keep selling the ones l find. First it was the black one a few years ago and l found it in a vintage market, the blue one I found at the Birmingham Vintage Weigh and Pay Kilo Sale This time round as l was doing my charity shop and vintage shopping crawl l went into W.Armstrong & Son Vintage Store and l saw it again, so l had to get it. I don’t go out looking for this type of dress but somehow it just seems to find me. It’s a lovely dress to be honest and suits my body so it would be silly of me to not have for a while lol. If l can go to three different places a find this dress then for people who have asked time and again for it, just go to Vintage Stores/fairs etc you just never know what you will find. I did a bit of a DIY on my NewLook shoes, I’ve been wearing then religious lately and l just wanted them to look a bit different. The little red balls are from a fabric store and I got double sided tape…. it’s a temporary thing it doesn’t last.
Another post!! Two posts in one day woow to me cause that’s never happened but that’s because lm almost done with education whoop whoop. Well this out I’m wearing today lve had the skirt for a couple of yours I think and it was from the H&M TREND . One my charity shop hunt l found this top for a £1 and l thought it would be perfect to pair some of my pieces already and bring them out a bit. Loved the look a lot and thanks to Washington Gwande who takes my pics he is an amazing and patient photographer xoxo Oh the shoes are old too from Primark and Bag is from H&M.
📸credit – Washington Gwande Gave myself a Little challenge, to find an outfit with just £25. Looking back to when l started blogging l feel like l have moved no from my original style and concept but then again that could do with growing up and my style evolving. I used to find and create looks for next to nothing. The one thing that has not changed is l love fashion but l don’t like it to cost me a lot. Blogging can be very costly and then life it’s self is very expensive too so to keep doing what l love budgeting is very essential. Now and again l devote one day to window shopping in charity shops and vintage stores. The first day is just for searching and creating looks with pieces l already have and l dont buy, instead l go home and think about what l saw. The second day is when l go back with fresh eyes and buy only what l need and pieces that l know will last me longer too.I do the same thing most times with high street shopping and even online shopping. I really enjoy playing dress up,l feel it distresses me and at the moment I have put on a lot of weight so it gets me out of the house and l walk a lot. So the first day l pick a street and because l live off the bridges in Edinburgh, Nicholson Street is my usual pick and it has a total of 12 charity shops and three vintage stores. Morningside area has great charity shops too and it’s good to give to charity. My challenge last week was to find all the pieces that are trending for the fraction of the high street prices. Lil secret I’m going to be aunty again whoop whoop She is showing off the bottle she won #bigsis #friendship Last weekend l took a break from studying for the afternoon to be around my friends. I had missed them dearly so we went to a Charity afternoon tea. If was a lovely day of laughter and loads of cake. For the afternoon tea l decided not too wear heels so l wanted an outfit that would be perfect for flat shoes. When l went to Birmingham a couple of weeks ago l attended a Vintage Weigh and Pay Kilo Sale with my good friend Thelma. I found a lot of amazing pieces and that has to be the best kilo sale I’ve been too to date, it’s a shame they don’t cover Scotland but then again we have loads of vintage fairs in Edinburgh . One of the pieces was the Qipao dress, a lot of people ignored it and I found it dumped on the floor. I picked it up not hoping for much really, I was just loving the quality of the material and I was going to recycle it to make something else. As l tried it on l had a big grin on my face realising what a jam l had found. It’s been one of the best things lve found that’s vintage besides the Capes of course. I chose not to wear it the traditional way so I opened it up and styled it my way, wore a blue tube dress underneath. I think next time I’m going to pair it with a pair of trousers, I’m curious. If you have never been vintage shopping, I really recommend you try Judy’s VintaAge Kilo Sale or look out for VintaAge fairs in your local areas. In my opinion whatever trend that is on the Catwalk or Street fashion right now has been done before & better, and you will find original trend pieces in vintage shops, markets etc. And if you find amazing pieces you guaranteed to be the only person with that unique piece. Dressing Down is a real struggle of mine and l can never find the right balance. My friends always say l over dress sometimes, l dont think so but who am l hey lol. As l was shopping for jeans in Forever 21 I browsed for a few more items. Bumped into this maxi and l love a maxi. You can never go wrong with black too, it hides a lot. The dress was great but because it’s sleeveless I wasn’t comfortable wearing it on its own and the great Scottish weather doesn’t allow so l had to find something warm but not too heavy for spring weather. The red cardigan I paired with was perfect as they both have the numbers/sporty thing going on.
Well l went and spoiled myself the other day. Got myself my first pair of Louboutin and to be honest I’m not feeling them as much now. They are very uncomfortable and I can’t walk with them for a long distance. For me looking back l think l wasted my money. Maybe my reason is since l gained weight I can’t handle heels as much. So maybe my a** needs to loose weight to handle the shoes hahahaha. Photo Credit 》Washazgee Thank you Washington for braving the cold with me taking pics I wore the @hm skirt which l love so much, h&m trend is doing amazing pieces and they are ahead of the game at the moment on the High Street. Paired the skirt with a Primark top and a blazer from River Island.
Skirt – Vintage and its so warm cause its woollen Shoes – River Island Blouse – Vintage Coat – Vintage and available in my blog store and lm giving away the vintage skirt with the coat xoxo
I’ve been using my facebook more and instagram and hadn’t blogged and that’s because l will soon have a new website and l wanted to start blogging on it but it still a weeks away from launching. In the mean time l will just blog here, really missed this. I’m wearing a vintage top l got in my local vintage store Armstrong & Son and l love that vintage store. The skirt l made it and got the fabric on sale and it was so cheap. loving Colour clashing this week.
Got this amazing suit from Edinburgh Affordable Vintage Fair, they come to town every couple of months and l love it. l never miss their event and its a lovely environment to shop in and also love the touch of vintage music they have while you shop. For the first love l paired it with a waistcoat l got from a friend and old shoes from H&M and an old clutch too. For the second look l got the Leather Top from Tkmaxx and shoes from Primark, bag is vintage too xoxo. So next time when you have an Affordable Vintage Fair pop along its really worth it, you can follow them on facebook and twitter
