This is has to be by far the only jumpsuit that I’ve loved on, having said l think l have only ever owned 3 jumpsuits ππ. Anyways of the 3 l love this one the most so far. I went and got this Asos here jumpsuit. I believe it’s on sale at the moment, it’s a cotton stretchy fabric and the high waist is a plus as l am big on the stomach area. It certainly helps cover up. When l was picking out pieces to pair with the jumpsuit l kept it simple. It’s a piece l know lm going to keep for a very long time, the chances of creativity with it are plenty. The first look is more of an outgoing/evening look and black is fluttering at night especially if you are going to be eating. Don’t know about you but l always have to wear an outfit that is roomy when lm out. There is nothing that’s as annoying as having a full tummy and your clothes are too tight. Guess that why I’m obsessed with skirts and dresses. I paired it with a sequin bomber jacket from Primark and monochrome sandal. Can we take a minute to appreciate the beauty of Edinburgh ππ Standing on Holyrood Park and Arthur’s seat. The second outfit I wanted a bit of colour and warmth as the outdoors aerial still cold. The look is perfect for a dress down Friday at work or just lunch outings…. l pair it with an old zara coat and primark shoes.
When you know you know……… l knew when l first tried on this dress l would feel a Bloody Million Dollars and boy did l feel it. I don’t think l could fully describe how beautiful this dress is and the transformation it gives from the inside out. Can you tell it also brought out my inner child, all I did was twirl in it and it felt brilliant. Circus Lane in Stockbridge Bless the hands that made this dress and those hands belong to a lady l am honoured to now know Joyline Clothing – Instagram and Facebook . She hand makes these beautiful pieces and wish l was a millionaire. I would ask her to make me a 100 of her designs. I already own another dress from Joyline which has not stopped since l got it last year. Shared it on my Instagram a while back. I am also blessed to have a friend named Thelma who surprised me with this beautiful dress. Thank you Thelma ππππ. I paired the dress with a clutch by the amazing Leyelesi , the African print clutch was perfect for my day look with the dress and mostly keeping the all black theme. As per usual my blog images would not be possible without my amazing friend Washington Gwande who braves the cold with me and most of the time goes out of his way to make my dream come true. It’s also because he has a passion for photography so guess he is making his dream come true πππππππππππππ. Thank you Washy and this week we had more fun xoxo Dress – Joyline Clothing Clutch African Print- Leyelesi
So early this year l got invited to a bloggers event and there l was introduced to Nobody’s Child . I was so impressed with the simplicity of the garments and colours, when l looked at the pieces thought there was no way l could afford them. They had these bomb pleated skirts over the summer they just stole my heart. When I went to shop on their website l was shocked with the prices. Bought this two piece skirt and crop top on my latest raid on their site. They where a bargain both costing less than Β£9. I added the peplum on the skirt to cover my tummy area. It’s really another skirt that I cut out and I just add the peplum to whatever. Skirt – Here Crop Top – Here Cape – Vintage Boots – Similar here
Gone are the days when I used to go on about Judy’s VintaAge fair and a lot of people did not have access to their kilo sales as well as their fairs. Well you will be glad to know they are almost covering most of the UK. I remember years ago it was just a hand full of cities but now most major cities are covered. Anyways the reason why I’m excited is that you can have a chance of finding fab vintage pieces to enhance your wardrobe too. I went recently and found this houndstooth blazer, and this is my 4th houndstooth blazer. Each one is different though and a girl’s wardrobe could always use more Houndstooth. Houndstooth is one of those fabrics that is timeless in my opinion. With this blazer I thought it would be best if I paired it with a skirt for a work Christmas party look but l have worn it more with jeans and it’s one of my favourite looks. I will shoot that soon actually. I hope when Judy’s VintaAge fair comes near you, you will consider going cause you just never know what you may find. Don’t forget the greatest thing about fashion is what’s on trend and the high street has been a trend before, done better with better material. I had to make a come back around Christmas didn’t l, I’ve enjoyed my break from social media. But l could resist passing the Christmas season without sharing my great finds. Winter is one of my favourite season because the fashion is great and l get to wear Capes. As you all know by now vintage Capes are just my favourite pieces. In this particular post I’m not wearing one but l will soon share some that l have found. I’m looking at one of the trends this season and velvet is a must have this winter. Don’t you just love the feel of velvet on the skin and it’s warm. I tried looking for some vintage velvet pieces but I wasn’t lucky with sizes, so l took the search on eBay and I just run into this velvet dress by a UK seller and l could not resist. The seller sells them in all sorts of colour but blue stole my heart. I just knew it would be perfect and a versatile colour. Did l mention how much of a bargain it was, just check out the link below and see for yourself. Another trip to Armstrong Vintage this week and I found this really amazing blazer. It kinda reminds me of my mum’s blazer that she wore at work. It’s gonna be fab with my work wear and those weekend jeans. Wore it here with a skirt from TopShop and a dress which I’m wearing as a top from H&M and Shoes from Public Desire Shop by clicking on the image
Ooooh I had an exciting afternoon in H&M got an early birthday gift of a voucher in one of my favorite stores. As you might already know I have mad love for H&M trend clothes, that was my first stop in the store. The selection as per usual great and my plussize self can fit most of their pieces. My intension was to buy two key pieces (hm trend)that I would style with stuff I already have or mix with the cheaper pieces in the store. I find that most times just picking two pieces in the hm trend can cost more than Β£100. So mixing with their cheaper pieces you get more for your money. The pink skirt Here is the first thing that caught my eye and I just had to have it and paired with a blouse Here , threw a mess top Here . Shoes – Here
To shop items click on the image above or below Blue, blue with strips has been a big colour this season. The high street is full of this colour in most stores. I chose Zara for my shopping also because I was excited about the size availability, it’s been really hard for me in the past to shop in zara especially because of my size. I was so pleased to fit so many pieces especially in their Trafaluc Collection, the prices are very affordable. Chose these two because I know in the winter, I will be wearing too and I have love for Blue. They are both very versatile pieces, paired them with items I already had in my Closet. Today’s blog post is really special πππ (SUPER EXCITED) because I have collaborated with fab bloggers from across the continent and within. I have also made new friends, these are some of the reasons why l love blogging. We all have mad love for Vintage Fashion. Check out their blog posts today on their VintaAge looks and how they have achieved their looks. Going on their blogs now to read all about them and check out the outfits π»πΌπΈπΉ BLOG Inmyjoi INSTAGRAM- Inmyjoi Inmyjoi (Facebook) Twitter @InMyJoi as well as snapchat BLOG Mispapelicos INSTAGRAM – Mispapelicos Twitter @Mispapelicos Facebook Mispapelicos (facebook) BLOG Curiousfancy INSTAGRAM Kittehinfurs Twitter @kittehinfurs Facebook Curiousfancy (Facebook) Played around with my phone editing these pics, downloaded an app called color pop and it basically changes your pic into grey, then you select the bits u don’t want grey. It’s super cool and I did it on my phone too. What do you think? Yeah I’ve blogged it again and that’s because I am in love. When you have a piece in your Closet that you just whip out and you want to achieve the killer look, for me it’s this vintage piece. Found it at a Vintage Kilo Sale a few months ago ( check a few post down for links), I’m still trying to fix it in places but the issues are hidden lol. That’s one thing you have to be careful of when vintage shopping. Always look inside out at the gourmet, there might be some hidden issues and check armpits always or even smell it. I’ve bought items that I will never wear because they were really dirty on the underarms area, well lesson learnt. Well in my previous post of this dress in did say I was going to pair it with a pair of pants well l found the perfect colour off ASOS. Loads of colour is my thing this summer. This skirt is perfect for me because I love colour and this summer I am going big on colour. It’s a skirt that can be very versatile and perfect for holidays too. I paired it with an off shoulder top l got from the Charity shop and denim shirt from a vintage sale. I tried the skirt on with a blazer and the look just didn’t work, then l tried a cardigan hmmm nahh. The denim shirt was perfect because I didn’t want to be too dressy after taking my shoes off. I can’t last all day in heels these days so when I’m dressing up I always have to consider what the outfit will be like in flats too. Skirt – Shop here (hm) Denim – VintaAge Shoes – Old
These doors are everything, they happen to be my view from my lounge. A lot happens behind these doors and I watch all the action from my sofa. I think l have featured them in so many of my blogs. They have weddings, concerts, networking event and it’s also an official Edinburgh Festival Building. This outfit is cute fun and colourful, all the things l love to put together in a outfit. I also dressed it down just by putting a pair of flats and changed bags. I’m not always in heels these days, those days are gone. I need to look after my feet and can’t handled them anymore the older l get. Well!! Loving blue this season and all shades of blue. I got this skirt from NewLook but online the blue has just sold out, but it’s available in black, pink, peach, white. BTW it’s still available instores though. I have the same colour skirt but slightly longer from Nobody’s Child and it’s amazing too. Check out their site it’s full of fab pieces. I paired the newlook skirt with one of their off-shoulder tops. I’ve been rocking off-shoulder all spring, it’s one of the biggest trends this spring/summer as jumpsuits/playsuits, dresses, shirts. My shoes are old Get similar here and bag is from Shop similar .
Kept the same colour and did a dress down look, paired the dress with a leather jacket and flats. This yellowas dress will be perfect for that beach holiday, summer wedding or even as a Sunday best Love love yellow, it just brightens things up. This dress is a Limited Edition in River Island so it won’t be in Stock for long, it’s worth he price on it. What l love most is the quality of the lace, it’s not a flimsy lace that won’t last. I’m going to have this dress for quiet some time, can’t wait to Rock it to a wedding later this year and on my holidays. Deja vu for real, that’s what happened when l bumped into this dress in W.Armstrong & Son Vintage Store only it was a different colour again. I swear I’m being hunted by this dress, or l am meant to own one for life since l keep selling the ones l find. First it was the black one a few years ago and l found it in a vintage market, the blue one I found at the Birmingham Vintage Weigh and Pay Kilo Sale This time round as l was doing my charity shop and vintage shopping crawl l went into W.Armstrong & Son Vintage Store and l saw it again, so l had to get it. I don’t go out looking for this type of dress but somehow it just seems to find me. It’s a lovely dress to be honest and suits my body so it would be silly of me to not have for a while lol. If l can go to three different places a find this dress then for people who have asked time and again for it, just go to Vintage Stores/fairs etc you just never know what you will find. I did a bit of a DIY on my NewLook shoes, I’ve been wearing then religious lately and l just wanted them to look a bit different. The little red balls are from a fabric store and I got double sided tape…. it’s a temporary thing it doesn’t last.
Another post!! Two posts in one day woow to me cause that’s never happened but that’s because lm almost done with education whoop whoop. Well this out I’m wearing today lve had the skirt for a couple of yours I think and it was from the H&M TREND . One my charity shop hunt l found this top for a Β£1 and l thought it would be perfect to pair some of my pieces already and bring them out a bit. Loved the look a lot and thanks to Washington Gwande who takes my pics he is an amazing and patient photographer xoxo Oh the shoes are old too from Primark and Bag is from H&M.
πΈcredit – Washington Gwande Gave myself a Little challenge, to find an outfit with just Β£25. Looking back to when l started blogging l feel like l have moved no from my original style and concept but then again that could do with growing up and my style evolving. I used to find and create looks for next to nothing. The one thing that has not changed is l love fashion but l don’t like it to cost me a lot. Blogging can be very costly and then life it’s self is very expensive too so to keep doing what l love budgeting is very essential. Now and again l devote one day to window shopping in charity shops and vintage stores. The first day is just for searching and creating looks with pieces l already have and l dont buy, instead l go home and think about what l saw. The second day is when l go back with fresh eyes and buy only what l need and pieces that l know will last me longer too.I do the same thing most times with high street shopping and even online shopping. I really enjoy playing dress up,l feel it distresses me and at the moment I have put on a lot of weight so it gets me out of the house and l walk a lot. So the first day l pick a street and because l live off the bridges in Edinburgh, Nicholson Street is my usual pick and it has a total of 12 charity shops and three vintage stores. Morningside area has great charity shops too and it’s good to give to charity. My challenge last week was to find all the pieces that are trending for the fraction of the high street prices. Lil secret I’m going to be aunty again whoop whoop She is showing off the bottle she won #bigsis #friendship Last weekend l took a break from studying for the afternoon to be around my friends. I had missed them dearly so we went to a Charity afternoon tea. If was a lovely day of laughter and loads of cake. For the afternoon tea l decided not too wear heels so l wanted an outfit that would be perfect for flat shoes. When l went to Birmingham a couple of weeks ago l attended a Vintage Weigh and Pay Kilo Sale with my good friend Thelma. I found a lot of amazing pieces and that has to be the best kilo sale I’ve been too to date, it’s a shame they don’t cover Scotland but then again we have loads of vintage fairs in Edinburgh . One of the pieces was the Qipao dress, a lot of people ignored it and I found it dumped on the floor. I picked it up not hoping for much really, I was just loving the quality of the material and I was going to recycle it to make something else. As l tried it on l had a big grin on my face realising what a jam l had found. It’s been one of the best things lve found that’s vintage besides the Capes of course. I chose not to wear it the traditional way so I opened it up and styled it my way, wore a blue tube dress underneath. I think next time I’m going to pair it with a pair of trousers, I’m curious. If you have never been vintage shopping, I really recommend you try Judy’s VintaAge Kilo Sale or look out for VintaAge fairs in your local areas. In my opinion whatever trend that is on the Catwalk or Street fashion right now has been done before & better, and you will find original trend pieces in vintage shops, markets etc. And if you find amazing pieces you guaranteed to be the only person with that unique piece. It’s been a minute and many changes but I am happy. Thank you to all those that have read, liked my posts and followed me. I am very greatful. I promise to blog more this year and get my Vintage mojo back asap, just need to finish this education chapter. It’s almost over just a month to go.
The Debenhams press show is one of the things l look forward too on my calendar, they are on fire at the moment and each season they are doing better and better. I was saying to one of my friends the other day that since l started going to press shows my views of Debenhams changed 360Β°. See l used always associate Debenhams with weddings lol don’t know why and back in the day l used to go there for Faith shoes. Now l absolutely love Debenhams and the designerS they have are cutting edge. Well this press show we got to see the Spring Summer collection and l won’t let you miss out on a sneak peak of the pieces that are going to be in stores and online soon. The venue was the beautiful The Corithian and the breakfast was amazing thanks to the Debenhams PR Team
A few weeks ago l was invited to a press preview show with the The Wedding Collective at their first Edinburgh Bridal Market. Well lm not getting married myself but l do have a few friends and family that are getting married. I’m also going to be a Best Man but since lm a lady guess it will be Best Girl for my dear cousin. I’m literally his best friend and he is mine, so he asked me to be his best girl lol sounds funny though. Anyways so it was fitting for me to go and see what it was all about and boy was it good. They had the Bridal Market in The Biscuit Factory a perfect venue for such an event. My eyes could not stop wondering as there were amazing stuff, the cake stands, dresses, photographers, decorators, florists etc. Even though they had more people doing the same stuff they all have very different taste and style. Everything showcased was from Scotland, it was the best of the best in the wedding industry. I obviously spent more time at the Those Were The Days VintaAge as you know well enough l love vintage. They had beautiful dreamy dresses and soon l will be visiting them to get a few pieces. They do not only do wedding dress but have a whole range of items. Another stand l kept going back too had fresh Cocktails, their cocktails were fresh and unique.l have drunk a fair share of Mojitos and l have to say theirs takes the cup Bespoke Catering I enjoyed the whole thing and now l just need to find a fella because everything else is in place lol. If you are getting married soon be sure to go to the Wedding Collective Bridal Markets, it’s jam packed with great Scottish Talent in all things Weddings. A few years ago I bought a black vintage dress which l loved very much. I fall in love with every vintage piece l buy but there was something about the way that dress fitted. For a little while I regretted selling it. Two years later which was last month l went over to the Vintage Kilo Sale and there it was a similar dress, I could not wait to get home and try it. I was meant to have such a dress in my Closet, you would think. Well I’ve gone and done it again, I sold it. I have a lot of people on my Facebook who live in places were they don’t get clothes as easily as we do in the UK or even here in Edinburgh. Cause l feel vintage is huge in Glasgow and Edinburgh and not so much in most part of the UK. I find it more expensive too in other parts of the UK. So when people are really genuinely in need of an outfit l will be wearing l end up selling cause my changes of finding a similar piece are greater. Managed to wear it to a wedding though which was lovely.
Dressing Down is a real struggle of mine and l can never find the right balance. My friends always say l over dress sometimes, l dont think so but who am l hey lol. As l was shopping for jeans in Forever 21 I browsed for a few more items. Bumped into this maxi and l love a maxi. You can never go wrong with black too, it hides a lot. The dress was great but because it’s sleeveless I wasn’t comfortable wearing it on its own and the great Scottish weather doesn’t allow so l had to find something warm but not too heavy for spring weather. The red cardigan I paired with was perfect as they both have the numbers/sporty thing going on.
I’ve found over the years that for me, finding the right pair of jeans is difficult. A few years ago a friend of mine in the States sent me a few pairs from Forever 21 and they were great. Is was first time to wear anything by forever 21. For a while these were my only pairs of jeans and they lasted longer than l expected but then again l don’t wear jeans that often. I’m more of a dress and skirt kinda girl. Well l visited Forever 21 to find a few pairs of jeans after trying a few high street stores with no luck. I tried on six pairs and with luck 4 of the pairs l tried fitted perfectly and it was a shame cause l only had a budget for two pairs and in the end l took home these. They were the right length and the waist was perfect. I paired the jeans with a Top – Forever 21 Leather jacket – Dorothy Perkins Shoes – Newlook
Last Sunday l was wearing one of my best buys of the week. I’m not one to dress down most of the time and it’s something I’ve had to teach myself. For years l was working and also had to dress up all the time and my weekends were packed with stuff that needed me to dress up. And now that lm back studying l have found it difficult to still keep my look but dress it down. So l took myself shopping to buy a few essential. My friends will tell you that prior to studying I had never owned a pair of trainers, but now l can’t say ‘why the h*ll did l not wear them all these years’. I went to River Island because l knew l was guaranteed to find my size in woollen stuff. Found these cotton dresses on sale and loads of cardigans on sale. Next door Zara was packed with stuff on sale and lm not one to resist a sale. As soon as l walked in walla, a gold strap in my face ‘instant love’ lol. I am very greatful these days l have Washington Gwande to take my lovely pics, so greatful for your super kind heart pal. This skirt gives me life everytime l wear it or touch it, the material is light, beautiful, soft and floaty. Well l went and spoiled myself the other day. Got myself my first pair of Louboutin and to be honest I’m not feeling them as much now. They are very uncomfortable and I can’t walk with them for a long distance. For me looking back l think l wasted my money. Maybe my reason is since l gained weight I can’t handle heels as much. So maybe my a** needs to loose weight to handle the shoes hahahaha. Photo Credit γWashazgee Thank you Washington for braving the cold with me taking pics I wore the @hm skirt which l love so much, h&m trend is doing amazing pieces and they are ahead of the game at the moment on the High Street. Paired the skirt with a Primark top and a blazer from River Island.
Well firstly I want to apologise for the silence ‘I had to take a minute and reflect on life’ lol for about a year hahahaha. I also just managed to retrieve my password to my WordPress last night. It’s good to blog again, it’s my release mechanism. These images are from this year, l have been posting a lot on my Instagram since I had no access to my website. First when Β l arrived they took our coats away, a little touch you don’t find in so many places these days. l sat in the bar and had wine and the view was lovely and atmosphere was great, had a blether with the bar tender. After a while l was taken to the restaurant and the interior is right up my street, l just can’t wait to take all my friends and show off the place. The experience of cooking your own steak to your liking is amazing. It is deffo a place l want to hang with group of people sharing sizzling the steak and having a laugh with good wine. l fell in love with this dress, its just a flattering dress and love the lace, l had to wear a short skirt inside cause it doesn’t have a petticoat but thats what l love about it because you can wear so many different things with it. l even thought it would look nice with a bikini inside on a beach somewhere or with trousers. l took my H&M dress and folded it in on the waist and wore its as a skirt, l love recycling my wardrope it just saves money and more shopping time especially when you don’t have time. When you are a plussize girl its hard to do last minute shopping you have to give yourself time, otherwise when you order stuff it might need adjusting which l always have to do most times. l paired it with another basic lace dress from H&M l’ve had for a while. The coat is from my Vintage Blog Store, l get access to a lot of Vintage stuff and l love searching/shopping for vintage stuff and making them fit in with current trends. l don’t really make profit buy selling them on but l get to share my finds with people in other areas that dont have access to as much vintage as l do in my town (Edinburgh).

Yeah so l am having a no make up week lol, l just need to give my skin a breather from all the make up and all sorts l do this every month for a week and its the time that is take me to apply the make up that annoys me sometimes. Funny thing l only started applying make up about three years ago because my best friend insisted and my ears only got pierced last year. l was never a girly girl like l kinda am today,l just didn’t bother with a lot of stuff cause my job is not glamours.
